All villages in Naruto
Naruto has a very large world with several villages featured in the story. However, only a few of them are mentioned in great detail in the manga and anime. For this reason, in this article, we will cover a little more about the twenty villages of Naruto, focusing first on the most famous and then on the lesser known.
Five Great Ninja Villages
Hidden Rock Village
Japanese name: Iwagakure
Location: Earth Country

Its characteristic elements are earth, lava and explosives. It is located in a mountainous area. The village has a large military training program that has been scaled back in peacetime. His techniques mix clay and earth as attacking tools.

Hidden Village of the Mist

Original characters: Mei Terumi, Haku, Zabuza
It is the smallest of the five great ninja villages and the most isolated since it is an island. Hidden Sand Village

This small village is highly industrialized. He is surrounded by the great peoples of the country of Fire, Wind and Earth, because of which he was at the epicenter of the war between these peoples. It was only briefly mentioned in the chunin exams. The third Naruto movie focuses on this village where three ninjas appear and are defeated by Naruto, Rock Lee and Sakura.
Hidden Smoke Village
Japanese name: Kemurigakure
Location: Land of Fire
They are briefly mentioned in chapter 101 of the anime, but their status is unknown.
Hidden Grass Village
Japanese name: Kusagakure
Location: Grassland
Not much is known about her other than the fact that her ninja use techniques related to animals and plants.
Hidden Sound Village
Japanese name: Otogakure
Location: Rice Field Country
In this village, Orochimaru conducted his experiments on young ninja. They use vibration and sound-based techniques, compromising the eyesight and balance of the enemy.
Hidden Waterfall Village
Japanese name: Takigakure
Location: Waterfall Country
Not much is known about the village, but it is known that the beast Chomei originated here. It is the only village outside of the big five that has a tailed beast. The city is known for producing “hero water” every hundred years. It is said that whoever drinks it increases their chakra level tenfold, but the exhaustion caused by its consumption can be fatal.
Hidden dragonfly village

Location: Mountain country
This village appears during one of the anime’s filler arcs. It was eliminated by an invasion of another village. There were no survivors.
Hidden snow village
Japanese name: Yukigakure
Location: Land of Snow
The ninja that originate from it manipulate ice and snow, but are unable to create them. They also created very useful technologies such as the chakra shield.
Village of Hidden Valleys
Japanese name: Tanigakure
Location: River Country
Thirty years before the start of Naruto’s story, this village attacked Kagero Village, which wiped out the population of both places.
Difference in Takumi
Japanese name: Takumi
Location: River Country
This is a village of inventors and artisans that only exists in the anime. Their greatest accomplishment was importing weapons to other countries, but as the skills of other villages improved, their weapons became obsolete.
Hidden Star Village
Japanese name: Hoshigakure

Hoshigakure was formed after a meteorite fell two hundred years before the events of the series. Research suggests that it predates Konohagakure by many years.
