Ymir Fritz is the mother of all titans in the Attack on Titan anime. She was part of the royal family of the country called Eldia. One day, she made a deal with dark forces that gave her the power of an ancient demon. After that, she was able to transform into a giant creature called a titan. In this form, she erected buildings and did other work helping the Eldians. They then demanded that she take part in the conquests. With the forces of Ymir Fritz, the Eldians were able to conquer the nearby kingdoms. She died 13 years after she became a titan. She is the progenitor of the titans and legends about her are passed down from generation to generation.
The final episode of the 4th season reflects her story and death. This season of Attack on Titan is coming to an end. As the story progresses, the existence of Ymir Fritz and the reality of her curse are questioned. Is it possible that people become titans for other reasons. In this episode, Ymir is known to have the power of nine titans.
